Dagmar Hochová's political photo archive is available online

The Moravian Gallery in Brno in cooperation with the Institute of Contemporary History of the Czech Academy of Sciences have made available the photographic legacy of Dagmar Hochová from the time when she was active in politics as an activist and member of the Civic Forum. She used her mandate to document politics, photographing it daily from her parliamentary bench and other places reserved for political actors. The vast majority of the images are published for the first time and can be viewed online at Dagmar Hochová’s Archive of Negatives within the online collections of the Moravian Gallery in Brno.

The database was launched on 18 April 2024 at the opening of the exhibition Dagmar Hochová: Retrospective, which will be open in Brno until 29 September 2024 and will also be presented in Prague next year.

The project „Democratic Revolution through the Lens of Dagmar Hochová: Making Unique Photodocumentation from 1989-1992 Available“ was supported by the Office of the Chamber of Deputies Parliament of the Czech Republic and was co-financed with state support from the Technology Agency of the Czech Republic under the ÉTA Programme.
