New Book: Between Solidarity and Disappointment. Czechia in the Covid and Post-Covid Era

The COVID-19 pandemic was a total social phenomenon, a time of acute and less acute crises, but also a period that can tell us a lot—especially in retrospect—about how institutions and individuals function. What have we learned about our society in those few years? Have we passed the test?

Can we hope that we will be able to cope with any future crisis as a society, or should we look to the future with concern? These questions are posed in this book, which is the result of joint research on Czech society during the COVID-19 pandemic, by historians, psychologists, and sociologists from the Czech Academy of Sciences.

The book is available from Karolinum Press.

The publication was released by Karolinum Press in coedition with the Institute for Contemporary History of the Czech Academy of Sciences, the Institute of Psychology of the Czech Academy of Sciences, and the Institute of Sociology of the Czech Academy of Sciences.
