Online exhibition depicts normalisation Žižkov in Pavel Štecha's photographs
The streets of Žižkov as a living space with lively interpersonal contacts that take place in the environment of cramped, neglected streets in a steep, almost impassable hill in winter. This is the view offered by the new virtual exhibition Žižkov of the 1970s in Pavel Štecha’s sociological photography. This unique set of photographs capturing the social character, social life and intimate world of individual pavement flats in the normalisation Žižkov was organised by the Institute of Contemporary History of the Czech Academy of Sciences and is available online.
