Sergej Radčenko: To Run the World
The Institute of Contemporary History of the Czech Academy of Sciences and the Institute of History at Charles University invite you to the presentation of the book To Run the World: The Kremlin’s Cold War Bid for Global Power and a subsequent discussion with the author.
The debate will take place on November 26 at 5:30 p.m. at the Faculty of Arts, Charles University, in room P326.
Sergey Radchenko, professor at Johns Hopkins University, is one of the world’s leading experts on the history of the Cold War and Soviet/Russian foreign policy. His new book offers a unique insight into the inner workings of Soviet decision–making—from Stalin to Gorbachev—and provides a new interpretation of global power rivalry in the 20th century.
The event is part of the AV 21 research program Identity in a World of Wars and Crises.
