We cordially invite you to the exhibition Kriegel (1908–1979): Doctor – Politician – Photographer / Exposición Kriegel (1908–1979): médico – político – fotógrafo. A doctor, politician, photographer, and the man behind one historic “no.”
The exhibition runs from May 20 to August 31, 2026, at the Instituto Cervantes de Praga (Na Rybníčku 6, Prague 1) and presents the extraordinary life of František Kriegel through photographs and documents on public display for the first time. The curators are Hana Bortlová-Vondráková from the Institute of Contemporary History of the Czech Academy of Sciences and Carles Brasó-Broggi from the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya (Barcelona).
The exhibition opening will take place on May 20 at 5:00 p.m. The opening will include a roundtable discussion with the curators and other experts. The event will be simultaneously interpreted from and into Spanish. The following day, May 21 at 10:00 a.m., a guided tour will be held for those interested.
