• History of science and intellectual history (19th and 20th centuries).
• Life sciences in the Czech lands; reception of evolutionary thought; relations between science and ideologies.
• History of philosophy and philosophy of science in the Czech lands; science and culture in the milieu of dissent and exile.
• Scientific institutions and cultural memory; mapping and public presentation of scientific heritage.
