Book presentation: "Vážený soudruhu prezidente" ("Dear Comrade President")
We cordially invite you to the presentation of the publication „Dear Comrade President.“ Letters from Czechoslovak citizens to presidents of the republic between 1968 and 1989, and a discussion with the author, doc. PhDr. Tomáš Vilímek, PhD, which will take place on January 15, 2026, at 5 p.m. in the Parliamentary Library (Komunardů 1634/44, Prague 7).
Advance registration is required for the event, and an ID must be presented upon entry to the building.
The event is organised by the Institute for Contemporary History of the Czech Academy of Sciences, the Parliamentary Library and Archives of the Chamber of Deputies of the Czech Republic, and Academia Publishing House.
An audiovisual recording will be made of the event.
