The monograph focuses on the ideas of Štefan Polakovič, a key figure in Slovak political Catholicism during the twentieth century. It outlines his journey from studying in Roman seminaries to his involvement in the Slovak State and postwar exile in Argentina. The book investigates the relationships between Catholicism, fascism, and modernity, as well as the dynamics between faith and power, and the interplay between theoretical concepts and practical politics.
