CfP: Colloquium Carolinum

The Colloquium Carolinum, a one-day conference for Czech and Slovak Studies, organized in
cooperation by the Collegium Carolinum, Ústav pro soudobé dějiny AV ČR (Institute of
Contemporary History of the Czech Academy of Sciences) and Historický ústav SAV (Historical
Institute of the Slovak Academy of Sciences) will take place on 14 March 2025 in Munich.

The Colloquium Carolinum builds on the tradition of the Bohemisten-Treffen.

We invite you to submit your project abstracts by 31 January 2025.

CALL FOR PAPERS/EXPOSÉS

All researchers with an interest in Czech and Slovak themes and their entanglements with
Germany, Europe, and beyond are welcome to participate in the conference.

The event will take place on 14 March 2025 from 10am – 6pm at the Collegium Carolinum (Hochstraße 8, 81669 Munich).

The presentations can take either the form of a longer paper (20 minutes) or a short
presentation (2 minutes). Please send an abstract of 1-2 pages to Pavla Šimková
(pavla.simkova@collegium-carolinum.de). The deadline for the longer papers is 31 January
2025. Deadline for those who want to opt for a short presentation is 28 February 2025.

The presentations can be held in either German or English.

The event is open to anyone interested in Czech and Slovak studies. Please register in advance by
email.
