Institute of Contemporary History

The book brings a set of interviews with the actors of the Czech economy’s postsocialist transformation. Individual professional stories include a wide range of experiences, from the highest, decision-making level, through reflections of participants in the privatization process, to individual entrepreneurial stories. The edition of the interviews is supplemented by an introductory methodological article and a final interpretive chapter that traces some of the strategies of „coping with the past“ as captured in the interviews.
