The book covers running of the Czechoslovak Airlines across several decades, from its founding in the interwar era (1923) to the first year of the independent Czech Republic’s existence (1993). The history of the national air carrier is captured primarily from the perspective of economic history; at the same time, it is placed in the broader framework of social and political history, and the history of everyday life.
